Professional studio racks for recording, mastering and music production

The Curuxa Customs Racking range is designed to integrate 19-inch rack equipment into professional studios while keeping hardware organised, accessible and close to the working position. The different configurations can accommodate processors, preamps, compressors, audio interfaces, converters and other studio equipment without relying on generic furniture or separate rack installations.

The different models combine rack capacity, ergonomics and sound-absorbing surfaces to suit both compact studios and larger installations with extensive outboard equipment. The range also shares the same design language as our V Series studio desks, making it possible to create visually integrated configurations within the same room.

Face Up, Vertical or Angled: choosing the right studio rack configuration

The The Face Up Rack V3 Acoustic 12RU and Face Up Rack V3 Acoustic 24RU place the equipment in a horizontal and easily accessible position from the workstation. They are particularly suitable when processors, controls and other devices need to remain within easy reach without significantly increasing the height of the furniture.

The Vertical Rack V3 Acoustic 12RU and Vertical Rack V3 Acoustic 24RU arrange the hardware vertically, making better use of available space in studios where floor area is limited or where a larger amount of equipment needs to be grouped close to the working position.

The Angled Rack range positions the equipment towards the user and is available in different capacities: 14RU, 28RU, 42RU and 56RUThis configuration makes it possible to expand rack capacity progressively, from a compact studio rack to larger systems with several bays of outboard equipment.

Studio rack capacity from 12RU to 56RU

The number of rack units required depends on the amount of equipment and how it is used within the studio. The 12RU and 14RU configurations provide a compact solution for a selected group of processors or interfaces, while the 24RU and 28RU models allow larger collections of outboard equipment to be organised efficiently.

For studios with more extensive processing chains, the 42RU and 56RU Angled Rack models provide several 14RU bays within a single structure. This makes it easier to centralise larger outboard setups and keep equipment organised around the main working position.

Acoustic design, organisation and cable access

In a recording or mastering studio, a rack should do more than simply store equipment. Its position, orientation and the surfaces surrounding the listening area also form part of the installation. The Racking V3 Acoustic range incorporates sound-absorbing surfaces to reduce large reflective areas around the workstation.

The design also provides convenient access to cabling and the rear connections of the equipment. Depending on the model, the racks include features such as magnetic rear grilles and different rack layouts to simplify installation, maintenance and hardware changes. Angled Rack models can also be configured with upper shelves to provide additional space for accessories or other studio equipment.
