Blackhead Studios

Blackhead Studios is a professional mixing and mastering studio founded in Berlin in 2003 by producer and engineer Klas “Sasse” Lindblad. The studio works with artists and record labels, combining the precision of digital tools with the character of analog processing.

His work is primarily focused on electronic music, with pieces designed for playback on digital platforms, club sound systems, and physical formats such as vinyl.

Studio integration

The V3 Acoustic 52RU console takes center stage in the mastering room and features a wide selection of analog processors arranged around the listening position. Rack spaces on either side keep the controls within easy reach during every session.

The central panel houses the display and main controls, while the angled arrangement of the modules allows the processing line to be monitored and adjusted from a single workstation.

Hybrid mixing and mastering

Blackhead Studios combines analog and digital processing to perform mixing, stem mastering, and stereo mastering. The integration of the equipment into the mixing console facilitates a hybrid workflow focused on tonal control, dynamics, and accurate audio translation across different playback systems.
