Audiomaster Ltd.

Audiomaster Ltd. It is a mastering studio founded in 1996 by engineer Steve Kitch. After more than two decades operating under that name, the studio was renamed Steve Kitch Mastering in 2018 and currently continues to operate out of Exeter, in the English county of Devon.

Steve Kitch has more than 25 years of experience and works with artists, bands, producers, studios, and record labels. His process combines high-end analog equipment with digital tools to prepare music for streaming, download, and physical formats.

Studio integration

The V3 Acoustic 52RU console set the center of the room and groups the processing chain around the listening position. The angled rack modules keep the equalizers, dynamic processors, and control systems within easy reach from the engineer's position.

The screen is positioned on a central top shelf, leaving the main surface free for monitoring controls and work devices. The striped sipo wood finish creates a natural contrast with the desk’s black front and the installed equipment.

Analog and Digital Mastering

The studio combines Class A analog processors and vacuum tubes with digital systems for equalization, dynamics, conversion, and metering. This setup allows the mastering chain to be tailored to the needs of each project, ranging from transparent processing to treatments with more tonal character.
